A discussion based activity which considers the right to participate and why young people and children are often not consulted in the decision making process. This activity is aimed at pupils 14+.

The right to participate

Aims:

  • To understand that the right to participate is a human right
  • To explore why decisions often get made without consulting children and young people
  • To consider what can be done to overcome this
