A’ Adams Bairns?

Newly updated in 2023, this resource from Scotdec explores equality and diversity in Scotland past and present. Using historical sources, images and songs, the resource explores events in Scotland’s past to reflect on the way certain historical actions and behaviors left a legacy that continues to contribute to some of the challenges we face today. By connecting the past to the present, we can learn and take action for a better and fairer future.

A’ Adams Bairns?

It covers 4 themes: slavery, forced movement of people, identity and diversity and prejudice and discrimination. It also explores sources and evidence and provides a section on taking action.

The resource is aimed at second and third levels but can be adapted for upper and lower levels.
