About

Stride is an online magazine for teachers, schools, and communities across Scotland who are passionate about Global Citizenship Education.

We share down-to-earth, inspiring classroom ideas, stories, and resources that help young people make sense of the world around them – encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and action on the issues that shape our shared future.

Curated by Scotland’s Development Education Centres (DECs), Stride connects learning to real life, exploring themes like climate justice, equality, sustainability, and human rights through a distinctly Scottish lens.

Stride is supported by the Scottish Government, SIDA (the Scottish International Development Alliance), and Oxfam, whose shared vision is to empower educators and learners to build a fairer, more sustainable Scotland – and world.

Our aim is to support teachers to lead meaningful learning, spark big conversations, and inspire young people to take confident steps toward positive change.
