International Mother Language Day

International Mother Language Day celebrates linguistic diversity and the importance of language to identity and culture.

Through a Global Citizenship Education approach, learning can explore language, power and belonging, valuing learners’ lived experiences and multilingual identities.

This connects well to learning in Scottish classrooms, particularly in literacy, languages and Health and Wellbeing.
