Join the Global Citizenship Community

The Global Citizenship Community is a friendly, open network for anyone in Scotland who wants to help build a fairer world.

The Unity is Strength Multicultural Festival held in Paisley on 10 May 2025, co-hosted by the Diaspora Group for Global Citizenship and SIDA (Scotland’s International Development Alliance), and sponsored by Mongol Identity SCIO, the National Lottery Community Fund, SCIAF, and Glasgow Afghan United.

Hosted by SIDA, it brings together people from all sectors – education, community groups, the arts, business and more – who are passionate about justice, sustainability, and global connection.

The community meets regularly to share ideas, resources and inspiration. Whether you’re just curious or already doing Global Citizenship work in your school, community, workplace or organisation, there’s a place for you here.

You’ll also find stories and insights from community members – people across Scotland who are putting global citizenship into practice in all kinds of creative ways.

Joining is free and open to everyone – not just SIDA members.
