COP

As world leaders meet in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for COP32, learners in Scotland can explore how climate action connects their lives with people and environments around the world. This moment offers a chance to link learning across the Curriculum for Excellence through science, social studies, and literacy to deepen understanding of fairness, sustainability and global responsibility.

Teachers can invite pupils to reflect on Scotland’s own commitments to climate justice and to consider how personal and collective choices contribute to change. Classroom discussions, creative writing, and local action projects can help young people feel that their voices matter in shaping a fairer and more sustainable future for everyone.
